Home to the annual Quicksilver Pro, it's often claimed to be one of the best surfing beach in the world with its consistent and hollow wave. The sandy Rainbow Bay is also a popular swimming beach, offering a sheltered cove.
2. Palm Beach
This southern beach delivers big breaks, due its many sand banks. You can also enjoy diving here or rollerblade along the Oceanway trail.
3. Currumbin Alley
A popular beach for beginners and novice surfers, with guaranteed waves. Here you can also enjoy incredible views both south and north at Elephant Rock and Currumbin Hill lookout.
4. The Spit
Located on the northern end of the coast, adjacent to the mouth of the Broadwater, this so called ‘swell magnet’ will have you hanging ten all year round.
5. Duranbah
Locals call it D’Bah! Sitting just south of the QLD/NSW border, this beach is well known for its reliable surf. If you're not a surfer you can enjoy watching from the lighthouse above.
